Started MDG to stay apart of skateboarding. Mainly so i could sponsor events.

There is no other community like the skate community.

Any event where our skate community gathers in numbers is where i wanna be.

All Duff Merchandise is made in house/basement.

Learned how to cut out the middle man

so I can provide quality goods at  lower prices

Here's An Interview i did with a local magazine that i don't think ever came out.

but can kinda get the vibe where me and this company started from

1. How did you get yourself into skateboarding and did anything affect it?

Typical intro, big brother was into it. He was 4 years older and thought whatever he did was cool. Plus 90s kid shit. THPS, x-games, rocket power..
Bro ya got me fucked up with the word affect. Effected/Affected I dunno but think the answer regardless is Baker2g. That shit changed my life. I got “Ready to Die” in 2nd grade from my brother so I was already a mini hip hop head. But after that vid dropped I got into classic rock, grew the hair, pants got tighter and started hucking down shit. I've since went back to my hip hop ways.

2. During any years before your Crew was formed did you have any other significant groups?

Before the Duff and skating I played traveled soccer awhile. Had a solid squad. Me, Grady, McCrack(R.I.P.), and B.Brown. Twinkle toes and fast feet. We fucked shit up. Still my good dudes. I was Grady's backup best man, spoke at McCracks funeral 2 years ago, Brown dipped to N. Carolina, but he’ll answer every other text. They my dudes forever.

3. What caused the creation of MDG And What was your initial Intent?

Well the original duff crew was a neighborhood skate crew started probably in 2000. We always said ‘MDG skate crew since 92’ because we always joked how 1992’ was the golden year. It'd be the answer to a bunch of questions. Say someone asked “how was that spaghetti?”, “ And ya really liked it, “probably the best Ive had since 92.” Or you seen Clark lately?” And you hadn't in awhile, “nahh, haven't seen dude since like 92. Our initial intent was to make a skate vid. The OG squad was 6 of us. We filmed enough to make a trailer for our vid around 02’ before members started to fade out. Dudes gettin cars or finding out what vagina feels like haha. All 6 still rep the gang. Anytime we see each other we give the original duff shake. From there, me, tall, and decol carried on the MDG name. We clicked up with other skaters and had a big squad but never let anyone “join” the gang. And we repped it hard all the way thru high school. Carving MDG on desks bathroom stalls and what not. About 10 years later, after a failed skate shop and 5 year bid of cutting concrete. I got a easier job and more energy than I knew what to do with. Skating a bunch more and sittin on a clothing line in my head forever, I wanted to start something that kept me n skateboarding. So when thinking of a name, I had to name it after my origins and restart the gang. But I didn't want to come on the scene as another random dude starting a skate company. I wanted the people to realize we about the life and come out with a full length vid before any of the gear drop. Which we did. HayWood JaBloMe

4. Because of the New Coming Year, do you have any plan and goals to reach?

I’ve had a millions goals that I haven't reached. Because I didn't know how big a pain in the dick it was to edit a whole vid. I had to learn so much shit. Then I got OCD with it and felt it was never good enough. No bullshit I did at least 15 full versions of it. Our first premiere was on June 21st 2018, go skate day. (Shout out Chico with GoodBlendDC for setting that up) First batch of DVDs came out November. 6months filmin 5 months editing. That ratios fucked.

5. For MDG and your branding are their any new extents your willing to reach and take hold of?

The main thing with the clothes is I'm trying to be original. Granted the initial logos ain't too original but I'm sayin I got a run of slipper, ring watches, durags, sweatbands, ski mask, dog shirts, stuff I don't really see out. Along with tee’s, hoodies, hats, beanies, gym shorts, phanny packs ect. But I'm tryin to innovate the typical stuff. Like I always skate with my hood up. So my hats and beanies are attachable to the hoods of my hoodies with a snap button so the hood won't fall down. All the patches on the collar shirts, ski masks, hoodies, beanies double as a stash pockets. Can rock the beanies cuffed or hipster/hide hair style. Couple other things I'm cooking up. But everything's getting done inhouse. My cuz has a screen print shop so me and him screen everything. My girl Anna stitches everything. I'm pressing buttons on shit, ironing on tags, building DVDs, learning how to take apart and rebuild ring watches so I got duffman on the clock face. Pretty much got a sweatshop at the crib. It's been a slow process cause I'm OCD with it and any stock pile I have goes to the gang and any events I'm helping sponsor. But the events is pretty much why I'm doing this. I just love the skate scene so having this little company lets me be more apart of it. Some events I've forced the duff in. Then some fuck with the duff. Like dude Bobby basset let me run the contest for landsdownes 40th anniversary. He gave me 400$ cash to give out. So I went to the bank got 400$ in ones got custom MDG stamps made. Stamped every dollar and gave out cash for tricks. Best day of my life.

6. Anything worth announcing yet?

The gears comin. All Haywood Jablome DVDs are free with any purchase from your skate shop. Literally buy anything, from Brackish(Dunkirk,MD) Charmcity(Baltimore), Vu(Baltimore), or Pure(Annapolis) and ask for the DVD. Or follow @MikeDuffyGang on Instagram. I usually post about where we skating on the weekends. Just DM me if ya wanna link up and skate. All DVD’s come with the soundtrack which is pretty much a Biggie mixtape and DuffyGang Ent.(@DuffyCipsTV)I even got my good dude Josh Driscoll to do an original Accoustic  version of  bigs “things done changed’ for the credits. He killed it, song stills gives me a boner. Only other thing to announce is all the Duff “gang members” are my dudes and wanna shout em out.... "Gang" (click)
